Multi-step application layout

This application form uses several steps to collect the necessary information:

1. Welcome page: Short page with the company name and logo. You can include tips and estimated time to completion here.
2. Personal information: Collect personal and contact information about the tenant.
3. Rental details: Allow the visitor to select the property they are interested in, duration, and number of tenants. You can add more property-specific fields on this page.
4. Rental history: Ask questions about previous residence, and reason for leaving. Also collect contact details of previous landlord, and allow uploading a reference letter.
5. Financial details: Questions to understand tenant's income, and FICO credit score. Require the tenant to agree to the terms and conditions, and allow a background and credit check.

Use cases / variations

This template can easily be adapted for different rental application types. Here are some examples:

1. 
   Student Housing:

   A university looking to offer housing for new students. Include academic details and proof of enrollment instead of employment information.

2. 
   Vacation Rental:

   Homeowners offering vacation rentals. Add check-in and check-out dates, and remove income questions.

3. 
   Low-income Housing:

   A city offering subsidized housing. Require proof of income eligibility and government assistance documentation.

Abandoned applications

Some tenants are bound to abandon the form application after entering some details. Formcrafts allows you to capture their contact information, even though they did not hit the submit button. This is done via our partial submissions feature. You can view partial submissions, and then follow up with prospective tenants and offer assistance.

Document uploads

Rental applications can often require a lot of documents. You can easily add multiple file upload fields to your form allowing visitors to upload documents such as landlord reference letters, credit score report, income proof, residency proof, employment stub, etc ...
