  We Need More Information
Unfortunately, we are not able to determine if your garment can be dyed without knowing exactly what fiber the fabric it's made from. There should be a label inside your garment that specifies the fiber.e.g., polyester, silk, cotton... If there is no fiber information on the label. Perhaps, your local fabric store, dry cleaner, or the garment maker can identify the fabric.
Satin, Chiffon, Lace, Organza, Taffeta, Tulle
Satin, chiffon, lace, organza, taffeta and tulle are fabric styles, not fibers. These fabrics are usually made from polyester, silk or nylon. If the label does not specify the exact fiber, your local dry cleaner, fabric store, or the garment maker may be able to identify the fiber. We are not able to determine if your garment can be dyed without knowing exactly what fiber the fabric it's made from.

3) Does Your Garment Have A Lining?
Lining Fabric / Fiber:
Linings
  • Most linings will dye similarly to your garment except for polyester and acetate linings.
  • Polyester and acetate linings will remain the original color or only become slightly tinted.

4) Does Your Garment Have Any of These Accessories?

Beading
Beading usually does not dye and remains the original color. However, it is possible that it could stain slightly. Beading must be sewn on securely. Beading that is glued on will fall off and the glue residue will damage your garment

Crystals
Crystals usually do not dye, they remain the original color. However, it is possible that they could stain slightly. Crystals must be sewn on securely. Crystals that are glued on will fall off and the glue residue will damage your garment.

Embroidery
Embroidery may or may not dye depending on the fiber. Fabric labels usually do not provide information about embroidery, so it's a matter of dyeing your garment and seeing how it turns out.

Fur
Fur usually does not dye. However, we cannot guarantee that it will not dye. It could become damaged from being dyed. We cannot be held responsible for the outcome of fur garments or garments with fur.

Leather
Most likely, leather will become damaged from being dyed. We recommend removing leather parts prior to sending your item to be dyed. We cannot be held responsible for the outcome of leather garments or garments with leather.

Zippers
Zipper teeth do not dye, they remain the original color. The fabric that secures the zipper teeth to the garment may or may not dye depending on the type of fabric it's made from.

5) Is Your Garment Discolored?
Discoloration:We are not able to dye polyester garments with any type of stain including bleach stains
FADED EVENLY
  • Garments that are faded evenly must be dyed slightly darker than the original color to renew the color.
FADED UNEVENLY or BLOTCHY
  • Garments that are faded unevenly or blotchy must be dyed much darker than the original color to cover the discoloration.
STAINS
  • Garments that are stained need to be dyed much darker than the original color.
  • It's difficult to determine if dyeing will cover stains. Occasionally, stains absorb more dye than the fabric and become more visible.
BLEACH STAINED
  • Black is the only color that covers bleach stains.
  • We can dye your garment another color, however, the bleach stains may still be visible after your garment is dyed.

IMPORTANT: Information about Polyester Colors
  • We do not ombre dye(dip-dye) polyester garments

IMPORTANT: Information about Color Selection
  • Garments must be dyed darker than the current color

** NOTES & COMMENTS ABOUT YOUR GARMENT

* Bamboo dyes well, but it tends to shrink slightly when it's dyed. Shrinkage is usually about 5%. However, more shrinkage is possible.

* Cashmere dyes well, but it tends to shrink slightly when it's dyed. Shrinkage is usually about 5%. However, more shrinkage is possible.

We've recently seen an increase in faux cashmere(imitation cashmere), which doesn't absorb dye. Although, fabric tags may state that the fabric is cashmere, this isn't always accurate. Unfortunately, it's not possible to determine if there will be an issue prior to dyeing. For this reason, we are unable to guarantee the outcome.

* Linen dyes well, but it tends to shrink slightly when it's dyed. Shrinkage is usually about 5%. However, more shrinkage is possible.

* Lyocell dyes well, but it tends to shrink slightly when it's dyed. Shrinkage is usually about 5%. However, more shrinkage is possible.

* Modal dyes well, but it tends to shrink slightly when it's dyed. Shrinkage is usually about 5%. However, more shrinkage is possible.

* Viscose Dyes well, but it tends to shrink slightly when it's dyed. Shrinkage is usually about 5%. However, more shrinkage is possible.

* Wool dyes well, but it tends to shrink slightly when it's dyed. Shrinkage is usually about 5%. However, more shrinkage is possible.

* Mohair dyes well, but it tends to shrink slightly when it's dyed. Shrinkage is usually about 5%. However, more shrinkage is possible.

* We've recently seen an increase in faux wool(imitation wool), which doesn't absorb dye. Although, fabric tags may state that the fabric is wool, this isn't always accurate. Unfortunately, it's not possible to determine if there will be an issue prior to dyeing. For this reason, we are unable to guarantee the outcome.

* Leather tags on jeans tend to curl up and become damaged from being dyed. We recommend removing leather tags prior to sending your jeans to be dyed. We cannot be held responsible for damage to leather tags.

Garments with linings sewn into the garment, such as blazers and coats, may turn out warped if the outer layer(shell) shrinks, and the lining does not shrink. Garments may need alterations after being dyed if this occurs. This is most common with polyester and acetate linings.
